Talk about a cosmic cocktail, we have a very eventful week ahead. We begin by crossing the threshold of the Autumn Equinox and stepping into Libra season, inviting some much needed pleasure, beauty, and connection with our people. Where Virgo season put the pressure on getting our shit together, Libra steps in to remind us to calm down and cultivate peace in the process. Then, we close out the week under the intense, passionate light of the Aries Full Moon.
A Full Moon often reminds us that in order to go one step forward, we must first go three steps deep. Under the Aries and Libra influence, we are asked to choose ourselves without guilt, show up in our relationships from a place of wholeness, and look within to help us make the decisions that have become impossible to ignore.
Under a Harvest Moon
The Autumn Equinox celebrates the halfway point of our astrological year, a natural pause to look back and take note of how far we’ve come. Whatever seeds you planted during the Spring Equinox back in March are coming into full view, offering up the results of your focus, energy, and labor over these past six months.
These outer seasons mirror our inner rhythms, and when we align with them, they guide our growth. If you look around your metaphorical garden and realize you don’t quite like what’s grown, or if things took an unexpected detour, the Equinox is a doorway with an opportunity to step into a new season with a new groove. We’re reminded we can always adjust course and this Full Moon amplifies where those shifts need to happen.
The first Full Moon after the Equinox is officially the Harvest Moon. Historically, this was when the bounty was collected, and hopefully, if it was a good year for crops, brought celebration, abundance, and profound blessings before the Earth transitioned into the dark half of the year.
While most of us aren’t out in the fields bringing in corn, the name remains a useful reminder to honor the journey of the past months and harvest not just our wins, but the lessons hidden inside our setbacks. Take a moment to integrate what you’ve experienced, soak in the gratitude for how much you’ve grown, and clear out whatever baggage you don't want carrying into the dark half of the year.

Sun in Libra, Moon in Aries
Every astrological sign has its opposite, and during a Full Moon, we witness both the empowered energies and disempowered energies of each sign come together. We are offered the chance to ask ourselves which of these energies we wish to nourish, and which are we ready to release. Aries and Libra are both cardinal signs, each possessing the spirit of a leader and the drive to initiate. Aries knows how to build independently. Libra knows how to build through connection. Both find fulfillment in a life rooted in purpose and alignment with their path.
In its most empowered expression, Aries brings courage, determination, and relentless drive. It reminds us nothing can stop us from fulfilling our deepest desires and pursuits, even if the path we take to get there isn’t the easiest one. Empowered Libra energy brings harmony, grace, and seeks fairness among everyone. It creates beauty in our physical spaces, our relationships, and within ourselves, granting us an inner composure that remains steady no matter what life throws our way.
When out of balance, these energies can work against us. Disempowered Aries becomes self-centered, aggressive, and reactive. We make ourselves the only priority. We start fights that are unnecessary. We forget to see things from another person’s perspective. This Full Moon shines a spotlight on where our self-interest might be out of alignment. Ask yourself: Where do I need to be more "selfish" for the sake of my own growth, and where do I need to pull back for the health of my relationships?
On the flip side, disempowered Libra slips into indecision, conflict avoidance, and people-pleasing. We overthink choices until we're paralyzed, relying on external approval instead of trusting our own inner authority, or swallowing our truth just to keep the peace.
Libra's presence also offers an opportunity to assess our friendships and relationships. Are your relationships making you feel valued? Does a friendship seem equally reciprocated? Aries allows us to approach these questions and conversations with ultimate honesty and the willingness to share our truth.
This Aries Full Moon reignites our passion and reminds us that true content comes from living in alignment with our own purpose. Libra gently adds that peace is far easier to maintain when our relationships (including the one we have with ourselves) are healthy and balanced. You don't need anyone else to complete you; you are already whole, carrying your own dreams and desires. And when we are genuinely fulfilled in our own life, everyone around us benefits. A fire burns brightest when it’s used to light the way for others, rather than just keeping yourself warm.
What else is happening in the sky?
Moon conjunct Neptune in Aries
As the Moon reaches fullness at 3 degrees Aries, she lands right on top of Neptune at 2 degrees Aries. The planet of dreams is illuminated, our imagination and feelings become one, and the Moon becomes a direct channel for your long-held aspirations.
However, Neptune is also the master of illusion. While this energy heightens our spiritual connection to our deepest purposes, it can also blur the lines between fact and fiction. If a person, project, or opportunity feels too good to be true, take a breath and pause. Let the initial rush settle and gather all the facts before making any major commitments
Moon conjunct Saturn in Aries
Saturn reminds us that every action has consequences. The decisions you make under this Moon have real staying power. Saturn’s presence reminds us that building something to last requires true devotion and daily discipline, but the reward of having authority over your own life is well worth it. What dream are you willing to become disciplined enough to build?
With both Neptune and Saturn retrograde in Aries, their influences shift from our outer world and redirects deep inward. This isn't a Full Moon for seeking validation, asking for permission, or putting on a grand display to prove your worth. Instead, it invites you to go within to find the answers you seek. Where have you been dreaming without building, or building without heart?
Moon trine Mars in Cancer
Then there is Mars, the ruler of Aries and governor of this Full Moon. In Cancer, Mars gets watered down, turning our trail into heavy mud that clogs our wheels and stalls our progress. But the day after the Full Moon, Mars enters Leo getting its fire back. The wheels clear of debris, the frustration lifts, and we’re back on the road again. Any blocks standing between you and your purpose dissolves and the energy to pursue your projects return.
Wishing you an insightful and honest Full Moon in Aries <3

Full Moon in Aries Fire Ritual
Nothing screams Aries like a good ol' fashion burning ritual. During a Full Moon we have an opportunity to feed our power. In Aries, that power is your own inner fire burning to get out into the real world. Fire magic is often used to set goals in motion or burn away what no longer serves us. Fire creates heat, heat creates motion, motion manifests as action to blaze the path to our desired journey.
The Full Moon in Aries illuminates the balance between self (Aries) and others (Libra). We release the baggage that keeps us hidden behind our masks, which in turn, allows us to show up authentically for those we care about. Wearing a mask takes effort and drains our energy. Expressing ourselves as we are gives us energy. For this ritual, you will be using fire magic to connect with your own energy and emotions that have been building up and need release. If any part of this ritual doesn't resonate with you, leave it out and make your own substitutions as needed.
What you'll need:
-
FIRE or anything that can produce a flame. This can be as simple as a candle or as big as a bonfire. If the weather permits and you have access to one, I always recommend a bonfire for a Full Moon ritual. It gets you outside and physically closer to the Moon.
-
Pen and paper to write down your intentions
-
A fire-safe container if you're not doing a bonfire, like a ceramic bowl or cauldron
-
Music. Nothing helps you raise your energy faster than a good playlist (spooky season vibes encouraged). Pick songs that ignite your inner fire.
Journal Prompts for reflection:
-
What am I being too agreeable or passive about?
-
What old habit, limiting belief, or fear is actively preventing me from taking the next bold step?
-
Where in my life do I feel the most frustration or anger right now? Aries teaches that frustration is often purpose that has not been given anywhere to go. What is that frustration trying to tell you?
-
What has my energy been focused on lately? Is it taking too much of my energy or is it exactly where it needs to be?
The Ritual:
-
Prep your ritual space. Get everything ready and organized so when the ritual starts your focus can be solely on your intentions. If you're going the bonfire route, start the fire first. Have everything you need nearby so you don't need to break your concentration or flow after you've begun.
-
Sit comfortably under the light of the Full Moon. Face to the sky and take three deep, slow breaths to center yourself. The intention here is to ground and clear the mind. It's very hard to direct your energy with a busy brain. Getting in a meditative state allows for any thoughts or insights to come to the surface. Reflect on the journal prompts above. Take as much time as you need here.
-
On strips of paper, write down your answers to the above journal prompts. Feel free to add anything else that you wish to let go of. Be direct and specific.
-
Hold the stack of papers in your hands. Feel the weight of these burdens. Then, declare the following:
“By the power of the Aries flame and the balance of Libra’s scale, I choose my deepest purpose. I release any weight holding me back to the universe, trusting that I am whole without it.”
-
Carefully and intentionally, light each strip of paper from the candle and place it into your fire-safe container. As each piece burns, visualize the belief or burden dissolving into ash, transforming into the fiery energy of pure potential. Feel the weight lessening as you let go of each piece of paper.
-
Dance. There's no better Moon to let your inner fire out and move freely with it than an Aries Full Moon. Dance has always been a form of medicine when it comes to releasing pent up emotions or anger. Let whatever feelings flow through you as you let go of what needs to be left behind.
-
Affirm your renewed potential by speaking any affirmations that resonate with you out loud. "I courageously step into my power and boldly initiate the life I desire" "I am ready to use my full, untamed potential. And so it is"
-
Allow the candle to safely burn out, or gently extinguish the flame. Scatter the ashes outside, returning the transformed energy to the Earth. If you're doing a bonfire, let it die out on its own.
