Donna Jean Humming Bird Necklace

 Intention:

This necklace is dedicated to and inspired by my Grandma Donna. An avid bird watcher, the most talented gardener, and one of my favorite humans in the entire world. On August 20th, 2023, the day this necklace is released, she celebrates her 85th birthday. After years of helping refill her many feeders, and observing all types of birds flock to them and her flowers through her large bay window, I truly believe she is a bird whisperer. With the hummingbird being one of her favorites, I tribute this necklace to her. 

Hummingbirds are believed to be messengers of good fortune and often symbolize inspiration of the impossible. For what hummingbirds may lack in size, they make up for in tenacity, noting that they are fierce and will even stand up to and drive away larger birds. While my Grandma may only stand to be 5'3", what she doesn't lack in size is a heart big enough to light up the sky. And like a hummingbird, always lifting spirits up on invisible wings. To this day, she makes me, my siblings, and cousins feel like the most special grandkids in the world.

If I had a flower for every time my Grandma made me feel loved, I'd have a garden to walk in forever.

To all the grandmothers who make the world more gentle, more brighter, and teach us of all the treasures it has to offer, I dedicate this to you, too. 💖
