Full Moon in Leo: February 12th, 2025

Valentine's Day arrives a bit early this week as we embrace passion in all aspects of our lives under the Full Moon in Leo. This celestial event offers an opportunity to explore self-love, encourage authentic expression, and nurture our inner child's playfulness. When the Moon is in Leo, we can feel fired up, dramatic, and drawn to the spotlight. Leo's energy fosters creative self-expression and boosts our individual ego through pleasure and romance. This makes it an ideal time to schedule a date, engage in some self-promotion, and write love notes. However, this Leo Full Moon also carries some erratic energy, prompting changes that call us to experiment with innovative ideas and stand proudly for what we know to be true in our hearts.

Full Moons metaphorically mirror what they portray physically: they illuminate. The Moon appears at its brightest, so astrologically, we associate this part of the cycle with illuminating previously obscured information. Whenever a volatile or unstable Full Moon is predicted, you can be sure that Uranus, the planet of change and awakening, is involved.  In this case, the Sun, the Moon, and Mercury are all squaring Uranus in Taurus, creating a configuration known as a T-square in astrology. T-squares push us to make bold, often radical changes. While challenging, they can also lead to personal growth and significant achievements. The square to Uranus, the planet of sudden shifts, awakenings, and rebellion, is particularly potent during this Full Moon. Uranus is known for shaking things up, and this aspect can bring unexpected events or sudden realizations that disrupt our lives in unpredictable ways, ultimately guiding us toward something more aligned with our authentic selves.

Leo Rules The Heart

Like the majestic lion, Leo embodies leadership, strength, and, most importantly, love. This Full Moon in Leo encourages us to tune into our heart’s wisdom, reminding us that the heart connects us to a deeper level of intuition. I'm currently reading Becoming Supernatural by Joe Dispenza, in which he explains how the heart possesses the most powerful electromagnetic field in the body, emitting a frequency greater than any other part of us.
