Final eclipse in the Pisces series that began September 2026

August’s Full Moon: Sturgeon Moon, associated with the freshwater fish found in abundance throughout the great lakes during this time of year
This Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Pisces occurs on August 28th at 12:18 AM ET/ August 27th at 9:18 PM PT
If the Moon is insight to our soul, and a Full Moon illuminates what must be released to honor it, then a Lunar Eclipse marks the end of a chapter in our soul’s journey--where our inner truth meets a final surrender. Sitting near the North Node, this eclipse activates the cutting edge of our growth: the future we’re being drawn to and the unknown that comes with it.
North Node eclipses naturally spark restlessness, amplifying our cravings and ambitions while flooding our thoughts with all that could be. But this push demands a choice: surrender and let go of the illusions, stories, and problems we hide behind, or take the easy road—ignore them, play it safe, and keep repeating the cycles that leave us stuck on the precipice of something more.
Every new beginning requires an ending to make space for the future and detach from what no longer resonates with the reality we’re trying to build. Through the Moon, we uncover which emotional needs motivate our behavior. Pisces being the last sign of the zodiac's evolutionary journey helps us uncover which have played its course. Through the eyes of the fish, we don't see the world as it is, but as it could be. unveils a lesson learned. A cycle complete. A truth revealed. A return to spirit. The deeper we feel inside of ourselves, the further we see outside of ourselves.

Sun in Virgo, Moon in Pisces
Pisces can struggle to reel in its wide-ranging imagination and focus on the practical details. Virgo energy keeps us in the present, helping us sort those deep Pisces emotions into darks and light. Here we can discern what's urgent and what's important. Virgo says chase your talents. Pisces says chase your dreams. But a dream can't become reality without someone willing to roll up their sleeves and get to work—a grounded practicality Virgo excels at.
The goal?
The ability to discern which habits, grief, routines, and escapist tendencies need to be let go.
The ability to know when we're going too deep and need to come back to the surface.
The lesson repeats as needed
There’s never a better time to journal than around an eclipse. Because eclipses occur in series, they reactivate the same area of your chart in the sign they fall in every time they return. Being able to look back at where you were emotionally, what was happening in your life physically, and the breakthroughs you experienced is one of the greatest gifts you can give your future self as you learn how eclipses impact you personally.
Think back to what was activated in the Pisces portion of your chart around September 2024. What has begun, ended, or accelerated in your life since then? This upcoming Pisces eclipse will bring unfinished business to the surface and move along an ending you’ve been clinging to longer than necessary. All moves that will ultimately lead to your growth.
What else is happening in the sky?
Full Moon opposite Mercury
Our head and heart can be out of sync leading us to overthinking our feelings or totally misreading the room. Pause before reacting to others or your emotions. Make sure whatever move you make after clears the air instead of adding to the chaos.
Full Moon trine Mars
Our emotions and actions are on the same page, making it easy to speak our truth without second-guessing ourselves or coming across as overly aggressive.
Sun, Moon, and Mercury all square Uranus
Uranus’s activation increases the unpredictability that surrounds this Eclipse, quickening the pace of change while reflecting a general feeling of restlessness and overstimulation of the nervous system. Sudden bursts of emotion or out-of-the-blue epiphanies may come through. Trad systems and old rules will feel suffocating. Use this energy to break out of comfort zones and innovate on your own terms.
Under this eclipse...
you may feel the closing of a chapter. Just as we grieve the loss of people, we also can grieve places, feelings, and versions of ourselves. Feel what comes up without letting it paralyze you or make the next decision for you. Give yourself room to grieve, rest, and change your mind without rushing to the question of what comes next. Sometimes the action lies in the inaction until we have the stable footing to take the next step. Tap into the collective consciousness to which Pisces has unique access. By escaping to deeper realms, we emerge from old spaces to a new era with new eyes.

Uncomplicated Pisces Full Moon Rituals
Yes, even during an eclipse.
While Virgo season is often seen as a time to get back on top of practical responsibilities, it’s also a time to care for the vessel doing the work so our emotions have somewhere safe to land. Consider either of these two rituals for the days around the eclipse when you're feeling extra emotional, overstimulated, or overwhelmed. Each incorporates a core aspect of Pisces to help you find your flow: observing the mind and working with water energy.
Spacing out
Pisces acts by challenging the idea that there is a single, concrete reality. It wants to experience consciousness, not the worries and noise that fill it, but the peaceful emptiness of the mind becoming aware of itself. And what’s the main way we experience this phenomenon? Meditation. But that word has become so loaded with extra frills, for this exercise lets just call it what it really is: spacing out.
You don’t need crystals, candles, the right pillow, or even music for this one. The goal is to simply experience the blankness of the mind. Still the breathing, still your thoughts. Focus your eyes on a single point and let the blurriness of your vision take over. Let it take you into an obliviousness that blocks out the information continually flooding your five senses.
Take a shower by candle light
Water is cleansing, especially during Full Moons—and especially during a Full Moon in a water sign. At the very least, stay hydrated and drink extra water. To do a little extra, spend time near water or soak your feet in Epsom salt after a long day. Not everyone has access to, or time for, a bath, but I promise you a dimly lit shower with aromatherapy and the right music is just as relaxing.
I recommend this one before bed. Put your phone on do not disturb and keep it out of sight for the remainder of the night. Seriously, less screen time during an eclipse is always advised. Lay out your pajamas and everything you’ll need for after the shower. Turn off the lights and place a candle inside the shower, or somewhere in the bathroom where it can emit a glow-whatever is safest for your space (a dimly lit lamp works too). Bright lights keep the brain on high alert. Soft warm light signals your circadian rhythm that daylight is over, lowering cortisol and priming the nervous system for recovery. I consider this uncomplicated because all it requires is a shower and either a lamp or candle. If you want to add my suggestions of aromatherapy and ambiance below, enjoy. But this ritual is simply a shower without the overhead light on.
Give yourself permission to take as long of a time you need. Feel the water hit the crown of your head, washing away anything you’re holding onto. Even your biggest worries and anxieties aren't meant to be carried 24/7. Imagine the water cleansing your aura with a soft glowing white light. After giving yourself adequate time to really feel the water spill over your body, then you can do the little extra things you usually don’t usually give yourself time to do: letting your conditioner really soak in, putting in a hair mask, exfoliating, using that expensive body wash you save for special occasions. Avoid screens immediately after or you’ll undo the sensory de-escalation you just created.
For aromatherapy: Take a pumice stone, a terracotta plant saucer/drip tray, or even a felt/wool laundry dryer ball and add a few drops of essential oil to it. Place it on a shower ledge where the mist reaches it but water won’t directly soak it.
