In the final stretch of Aries season, we're offered a powerful New Moon in the late degrees of the ram. While every New Moon marks a time for new beginnings, Aries is the sign most built for initiation. Backed by the relentless spirit of the pioneer, the magic of this New Moon propels us forward with a bold me first attitude, urging us to take action on our deepest passions. Under this kind of creative fire, we have the limitless ability to decide exactly who we want to be and set ourselves up for a new cycle.

Seven planets are gathered in Aries under this New Moon creating an incredible concentrated burst of trailblazing energy. With such heavy planetary placements in Aries, this may just be the most powerful New Moon of the year to set intentions and launch new chapters in our lives. If you've been sitting on a big goal, this is the time to get loud with your intentions.

Aries Influence: Where Passion Meets Action

Aries energy says move first, ask questions later. This sign demands action, and the fire fueling that action needs a physical outlet. Move your body while you set your intentions. Speak your truth into a candle flame. Find healthy outlets for any intensity you feel. I always say, intention + action = magic so it’s worth noting that action without direction or purpose is a fast track to burnout with nothing to show for it. Make sure the steps you’re taking feel aligned with your deeper sense of self rather than a projection of the ego. Don’t let overconfidence trick you into starting the race before you’ve made sure the path is actually paved.

To help navigate this, the Dark Moon phase also moves through Aries, offering a vital period of introspection and grounding leading up to the New Moon. It’s the rest before the war. It’s the phase where we sit free from the pressure to perform and the weight of deadlines. In the silence of the Dark Moon, we can uncover the deep-seated intentions we want to plant and identify where our passions truly lie. Aries moves with honesty; it doesn’t hold back and it doesn’t sugarcoat. You can be certain that whatever surfaces for you is unfiltered and true, even if it requires a little more courage than you’re used to.

When I feel activated by the hustle of Aries season but don't necessarily know which direction to move, I return to a past version of myself where I felt confident and free. For some of us, that looks like childhood; a time when life was simpler and moved slower—before the internet tried to tell us how to live and what to like. Or I return to a time where I felt the most inspired and successful. Take a moment to channel a version of yourself (big or small) that was filled with hope, imagination, and a sense of infinite opportunity. Returning to old places with new faces can trigger profound insight.

What else is happening in the sky?

The Sun, Moon, Mercury, Mars, Saturn, Neptune, and Chiron are all gathered in Aries, expressing themselves in ways only Aries behaves: bold, vigorously, courageously, and impulsively. This rare gathering signals a period of intense personal reinvention and a loud start to a new cycle.

Mercury conjunct Mars, Saturn, and Neptune: Ideas become bold, thoughts turn into action, and communication becomes passionate. But with this much reactive fire energy, it's important to remember to think before you speak. Listen to your anger, but don't live in it.

However, Neptune’s position can blur the lines between what's true and what we wish were true. This is a sky that can cloud our thinking, amplify confusion, and leave us vulnerable to illusion and deception. Stay sharp.

Moon conjunct Chiron in Aries: This New Moon sits directly alongside Chiron, bringing deep-seated insecurities to light regarding self-assertion and independence. Chiron carries the inherited wounds that shape us throughout our lives. We see the places where we’ve doubted ourselves, where we’ve shrunk, and where we’ve hesitated to claim our desires. Yet, there is a beautiful opportunity here to heal these patterns at the root. Aries has an incredible ability to recover from setbacks and regain strength when it is needed. It very much encompasses the resilience of a phoenix, rising from the ashes stronger and wiser.

When self-doubt creeps in, remember to reflect on your why. Lean into the passion and the dreams that push you forward. Confidence grows when you prove to yourself that you can handle discomfort. Switch your mindset from “This is hard, I don’t want to do this” to “I do hard things intentionally.” Each time you push through resistance, you reinforce the belief that you are capable, even when things feel uncomfortable. Aries rewards courage over perfection, and the sky is offering you the fighting spirit to make it so.

The New Moon in Aries Lesson

Aries is the sign of the self. It thrives on independence and the drive to figure it out alone. If there’s one thing about Aries energy, it’s that this sign knows, with its whole heart, that it is worthy of being selfish in the pursuit of its goals. Only you can walk your path. Only you can live your life. Let it unfold without forcing the next step or waiting for the perfect moment. The perfect moment is now.

This New Moon is a time to choose yourself in the name of your dreams. To step into a braver version of yourself. To stop waiting to be invited and instead step forward with courage, confidence, and trust in your actions. Go for the goals that give you goosebumps, the conversations that inspire you, the activities that fill you with joy, and the ideas that drive you with purpose.

Reflections:

What dreams did you have for yourself when you were younger? What childlike wonder has been missing from your life lately? What fear stands between who I am and who I want to become? In what areas are you waiting to be invited instead of stepping forward? In what areas have you been over-planning instead of moving?
